HC HILLCREST is ideally located directly on top of the town & lake, only 1.5km from the PO, & every room enjoys postcard views.
The 30 room [3 star self rated] motel is situated on over 11/2 acres of garden, with a large saltwater lap pool [& toddlers], gas & wood fired BBQs, expansive lawns, a large variety of mature native flowering plants & tennis court.
There is a proliferation of native birds, & even eagles, sea eagles, hawks, & black cockatoos are often seen from the rooms, not to mention the flocks of lorikeets, cockatoos & galahs. Over 20 varieties of birds are regularly sighted, with some 60 native species being in this area of the southern forests alone.
As you can imagine a delightful cacophony of sound echoes at sunrise & sunset.
